When should I schedule a newborn session?
Newborn sessions are usually booked months in advance. The best time to schedule your newborn session is before your baby arrives so that I can set a date aside for you around your due date. Then contact me as soon as possible after having the baby and we will set up a definite day/time. Please keep in mind that the best time to photograph newborns is in the first 2 weeks of life when they are sleepy and pliable. Because of this, I do my best to fit newborns into my schedule as soon as possible after they are born. So please call or email me to book your newborn session as early as possible!!
Where are your sessions held?
Engagement sessions are held at the location of your choice. Family/children sessions are usually held in my studio or a local park or beach. Newborn sessions are held in my studio space in East Rockaway where I can control surroundings for best results as well as give you access to all my props/blankets etc.
Travel fees apply for anywhere over 15 miles of 11518. Sessions usually last anywhere from 1 to 2 hours. Newborns may take longer as they will often require time for soothing and feedings.
Do you provide props?
Yes, I have a bunch of newborn hats, wraps, baskets etc. that I have at every newborn session but I encourage parents to use any other props they’d like. Same goes for baby sessions although I often prefer photographing families without any props so that we can focus more on family connections!
What should we wear?
I personally think there is nothing cuter than a naked newborn or baby. For everyone else, coordinating colors/styles usually work best. Try to avoid logos and loud bright colors/patterns since they don’t photograph as well and can draw attention away from the subject. If more than one person will be included in the session, try to match styles and/or colors.
Do you offer gift certificates?
Yes, it’s a great gift for any mom, mom to be, or newly engaged couple! Please contact me for further info.
Can we get a disk of the images from our session?
Weddings and events include a high resolution disk of all edited images.
I offer different package options for portrait sessions, some which include a high resolution disk of all edited images. A disk of images is not included in the session fee.

What types of payment do you accept?
I accept cash, check, and credit cards through paypal.
